PM Modi would address the BJP MPs during the meeting.
Usually, the parliamentary party meeting takes place on the first Tuesday during the Parliament session. However, in the wake of the Presidential election on July 18, BJP has decided to hold a meeting before the session begins.
BJP MPs have been asked to reach New Delhi by July 16.They will attend a meeting called by BJP president JP Nadda on the evening of the same day. The party is organising a small training session on voting during the presidential election for all the MPs on July 16. A dinner of all the BJP MPs is also being planned by Nadda. The programme has not been confirmed yet. BJP insiders told ET that there are several MPs who will vote in the presidential election for the first time. With the support of several parties from the opposition, it is quite easy for the NDA presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu to win the election. However, BJP doesn't want to take any chances.
