PM Narendra Modi’s pet e-SamikSha delivered the goods in Nepal
The Indian teams’ rescue and relief effort in Nepal and India after the April 25 earthquake was monitored at the highest level.

Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth wrote a letter on April 28 after chairing a National Crisis Management Committee meeting on the day of the quake and asked concerned ministries, state governments and other agencies to update all information on the rescue effort in Nepal on the e-SamikSha platform thrice daily. ET has accessed the letter.
Developed by the Cabinet Secretariat with technical support from the National Informatics Centre, e-SamikSha is operational since November to monitor files which are PMO’s priority. The PM himself navigates through e-Samik-Sha via a digital dashboard that has customised drop-down windows, with each allowing him to see progress in different areas such infrastructure, administrative reforms, pending court cases and special campaigns like Swachh Bharat and Ganga Rejuvenation.
