The principal Opposition party released a one-year report card of the Modi government marked ‘failed’ in red ink. The party lined up its top spokespersons and senior leaders to take on the government on its performance over the year. The Congress unveiled a 12-minute video clip showing Modi’s poll promises and the ‘U-turns’ made by the BJP government after assuming power.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, “the one year of Modi sarkar can be summed up as ‘broken promises, boastful claims. shattered dreams, a nation betrayed. One year of Modi sarkar has been government of self, selfies and selfishness.”

Azad dissected the ‘open letter’ written by the prime minister to the people and said that he has contradicted himself. “The letter is full of contradictions.
It is far from the truth. The sectors he has mentioned are the ones he has finished completely.” The Congress booklet, titled “Ek saal, desh badhaal”, has tackled 10 major issues including agricultural distress, black money, social sector, economic issues, defence, human resource, environment, foreign policy and delay in appointments to key posts.
