PM Narendra Modi wishes Pranab Mukherjee on 82nd birthday

Mukherjee was born this day in 1935 in Mirati, a village in the Bengal Presidency of British India (now in Birbhum district, West Bengal).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wished former president Pranab Mukherjee on his birthday and said he prayed for his long and healthy life.

Mukherjee turned 82 today.

"Spoke to Pranab Da and wished him on his birthday. His impeccable service endears him to every Indian. I pray for Pranab Da's long and healthy life," the prime minister tweeted.
