PM Narendra Modi to review Kashmir unrest; MEA reacts sharply to Sharif talk
On Monday, following Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif ’s statement, MEA advised Pakistan to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbours.

The prime minister who will return from a four-nation tour of Africa on Tuesday, will be given a detailed presentation on the prevailing situation in the Kashmir Valley.
NSA Ajit Doval, who was accompanying Modi, has already returned to New Delhi, after cutting short his visit. On Monday, following Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif ’s statement, MEA advised Pakistan to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbours.
India alleged Pakistan’s statements reflected Islamabad’s use of terror as an instrument of state policy.
A statement from Sharif’s office on Monday said, “the Prime Minister of Pakistan has expressed his deep shock at the killing of Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani and many other civilians by the Indian military and paramilitary forces.”
Late on Monday evening, Pakistan summoned Indian high commissioner Gautam Bambawale to express “serious concerns over the killings of Burhan Wani and many civilians in Kashmir.”
