PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate 'MPs Ki Paathshala' today in Parliament house

NEW DELHI: Modi will inaugurate ‘MPs Ki Paathshala’ in Parliament on Thursday where all Lok Sabha members will be educated about the critical issues facing the country. Organised by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan under Speaker Research Initiative, a series of workshops are planned to educate the MPs so that they can participate in debates and make “coherent” contribution. Sources in PMO told ET that Modi was disappointed with MPs over their lack of awareness on important issues.

The sessions will be held at Parliament House Annexe. Speaker’s office said the topic for the maiden workshop is Sustainable Development Goals. It will be chaired by Sachin Chaturvedi, DG at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS).
