PM Narendra Modi should clarify stand on Nathuram Godse 'temple': Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena
MEERUT: Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena (UPNS) today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clarify his stand on the controversy over the construction of a "temple" dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse.

"The Prime Minister should clarify his and his government's stand over the construction of 'temple' dedicated to Godse. He should issue a message to the country over the issue," UPNS national president Amit Jani said here.

Jani was speaking during a mahapanchayat of 40 villages convened by the party here to protest against the construction of the "temple".

Recently, activists of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) had allegedly performed a ceremony here for construction of a "temple" dedicated to Godse, following which the administration ordered a probe into the matter.

Jani said on January 11, he along with several party activists will hold a protest at the Sarada Road office of the ABHM here.

The activists will then leave for Prime Minister's Office in Delhi, Jani said.
