NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary saying his thoughts ideals remain an inspiration for everyone devoted to serving the country.

"I bow to Swami Vivekananda on his Nirvan Diwas. His thoughts & ideals remain an inspiration for everyone devoted to serving our nation," he said on Twitter.

In another tweet, the Prime Minister said "Swami Vivekananda conquered the entire world with his life & message. Best tribute to him would be to imbibe his ideals in our daily lives."

Swami Vivekananda died on July 4 in 1902, 112 years ago.
