PM Narendra Modi may inaugurate housing project in Chandigarh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Chandigarh in September for inaugurating a housing project set up by Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB).

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate housing project in Sector 63, Chandigarh in September," said an official spokesman of Department of Public Relations & Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh here.
However, CHB CEO SB Deepak Kumar, when contacted, said the official confirmation about Modi's visit for inauguration ceremony is yet to be received.
A housing project under General Self Financing Housing Scheme-2008 at Sector 63 here is coming up in which Chandigarh Housing Board had proposed to set up 2108 flats.
Under this scheme, there will be 336 three bed rooms, 888 two bed rooms, 564 one bed room & 320 EWS flats.
The project was likely to be completed by August 2015.
Meanwhile, CHB today asked allottees to clear their outstanding dues, both the principal amount and the interest amount on the delayed payments by August 31, failing which steps shall be taken for the allotments made on provisional basis to be cancelled/ revoked.
