NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is yet to respond to the letter that his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif has written to him expressing satisfaction over the May 27 bilateral meeting in Delhi.

Modi, who received the letter over the last weekend from Sharif, considers it as a significant message and is carefully considering it before replying, official sources told ET.

The PM would reply to his Pakistani counterpart after carefully considering all aspects, sources informed.

Sharif wrote to Modi expressing satisfaction over his meeting with him and said he was looking forward to working with him in “harmony on all unsettled matters”.

It may be recalled that Modi had strongly urged Sharif to control Pak-based terror directed against India and speedy conclusion of the 26/11 case.
