PM, Narendra Modi is playing politics with the ashes of former Prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee: Tarun Gogoi
The former chief minister slammed the BJP led government in Assam and said that state government has become a “government of fairs”. “ On every pretext the government organises fairs.”

Gogoi while talking to media said, “As in four year’s there is hardly any development , Modi is resorting to do politics with the ashes of late Prime minister, Vajpayee.”
Three time Assam chief minister, Gogoi said said even Vajpayee’s niece and Congress leader Karuna Shukla criticized BJP for taking out ‘Asthi Kalash Yatra’ across country. She said BJP is carrying ashes of Vajpayee around the country for electoral gains in upcoming elections.”
Gogoi said that Modi’s popularity is gradually declining. “Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s popularity is increasing.”

He pointed out that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal even to hand over appointment letters to 1373 constables who have been inducted into Armed Branch of Assam Police organised a function held at Veterinary College Play ground in Guwahati.
Gogoi said that draft National Register of Citizens (NRC) published recently has axed out large number of Indians. “The whole process of NRC updation is becoming lengthy, large number of foreigners has made it to draft NRC.”
