He also acknowledged B. S. Yeddyurappa's effort in constructing the railway line. PM Modi said that Yeddyurappa urged the government in the centre to give 50 per cent funds and the other 50 per cent will be given by the state government. He also said that Congress would initiate multiple projects just to gain political mileage, but never completed any major projects on time.

PM Modi gave various examples of the stalled projects and hoe his government had completed those projects on time. He reiterated the role of the government and the way various schemes should address people who need them. He went on to say that all his welfare schemes are focused in helping the poor.
