PM Narendra Modi has violated model code by remarks on interviews, BR Ambedkar: Grand Alliance
NEW DELHI: The Janata Dal (United) and Congress have accused PM Narendra Modi of violating the model code of conduct by announcing the policy decision to do away with interviews for lower rung jobs in his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast. The parties alleged that such an approach was dictated by the RSS and aimed at depriving socially weaker sections the benefits of job reservations.

The Grand Alliance allies have also said the EC was ineffective in ensuring PM "is not electorally misusing his Mann ki Baat" and said they would take coordinated initiative in Parliament to demand that the Chief Election Commission be appointed by a collegiam comprising the government and Opposition leaders.

JD(U) general secretary KC Tyagi alleged: "PM announcing right in the middle of Bihar elections the decision to scrap the interviews in central government is a violation of model code of conduct."
