PM Narendra Modi has raised India's honour at international level: Ram Vilas Paswan
MEDININAGAR, JHARKHAND: Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he has raised India's honour at the international level in just two years.

"Compared to the last ten years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised India's honour at the international level in just two years," Paswan said, adding that India was talking to the US on "equal terms" unlike earlier times.

"Mexico President drove him to a restaurant. This shows India's growing reputation," the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister said.

He said that for Modi, "development was the only mantra" and schemes like Jan Dhan Yozana, electricity and irrigation were among his priority areas.

Stating that efforts were there to bring down prices of pulses, Paswan said in the last fiscal 117 lakh tonne pulses were produced while this year the target was 173 lakh tonne against the country's total requirement of 246 lakh tonne per annum.

He said there was a buffer stock of 1,68,000 tonne and the Centre was pondering over to float a National Common Market for smooth flow of grains.
