PM Narendra Modi gets invite to address US Joint Session
In a goodwill gesture, Speaker of US House of Representatives has invited Modi to address a joint session of the US Congress at a date convenient to him.

However, Modi would not be able to address the Congress when he comes to Washington DC in the last week of September mainly because of the unpredictability of the schedule of both the House of Representatives and the Senate due to midterm elections in November.
More than 80 lawmakers had recently written to Boehner, urging him to invite Modi to address a joint session of the Congress.
