PM Narendra Modi 'deeply shattered' by farmer's suicide in Delhi
Modi today said he was "deeply shattered" and "disappointed" over the suicide committed by a farmer today at an Aam Aadmi Party rally in Jantar Mantar.

"Gajendra's death has saddened the nation. We are deeply shattered and disappointed. Condolences to his family," he said in a tweet while referring to the suicide committed by the farmer at a rally here.

We are all together in creating a better tomorrow for the farmers of India," he added.Gajendra Singh, a farmer from Dausa in Rajasthan, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in full public view in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at an Aam Aadmi Party rally.
A father of three, Gajendra climbed a neem tree in Jantar Mantar, a stone's throw away from Parliament, put his 'gamcha' (towel) around his neck and tied it to a branch.
