PM Narendra Modi congratulates Saina Nehwal and K Srikanth

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated shuttlers Saina Nehwal and K Srikanth for their victories at the China Open Super Series tournament.

Saina lifted the women's singles title after beating Japan's Akane Yamaguchi while Srikanth produced the biggest win of his career by defeating two-time Olympic Champion Lin Dan to clinch men's singles title.

"A wonderful day for Indian badminton! Congrats to Saina Nehwal and K Srikanth for the victories at the China Open Super Series Badminton Tournament," Modi said in a press release.
