PM Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal set to attend Sant Ravidas event

LUCKNOW: Varanasi sits uneasy a day before Sant Ravidas Jayanti, which both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will attend in their bid to reach out to the Dalit community from the temple town on Monday. While the Dalit Czarina Mayawati has chosen to stay away, the ruling SP has decided to throw its hat in the political ring and is organising its own function.

Though no official confirmation was forthcoming, Modi is expected to start his day with a dip in the waters of river Ganga, his first as PM.

But the spotlight would be on Modi and Kejriwal who had a famous run in during LS polls in 2014.

After Modi had announced his decision to contest from Varanasi, Kejriwal too had made the sudden decision to take on Modi from Varanasi. Their elections campaign saw heated debate with Kejriwal eventually losing badly.
