PM Modi, Rajnath greet Kalyan Singh on his birthday

LUCKNOW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh were among those who called up Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh to wish him on his 84th birthday here today.

"Modiji, Rajnath Singhji and others made a phone call to Kalyan Singh to extend their greetings on his birthday today," his son and BJP MP Rajvir Singh said.

BJP president Amit Shah had made a call yesterday to wish a long and healthly life to the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

UP BJP chief Laxmikanth Bajpai has also greated the Governor, Singh said.

Senior state unit leaders and workers visited the house of Singh since morning to greet him, Singh said adding that a havan was held on the occasion.

Singh arrived here on January 2 to celebrate his birthday at his residence.
