PM Modi promised achhe din, but delivered hard times, says Siddaramaiah
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that recent increases in petrol and diesel prices are severely impacting the poor and middle classes. Siddaramaiah highlighted that despite lower crude oil prices...

Even though the current price of crude oil is lower compared to the price during Manmohan Singh's tenure as PM, petrol and diesel prices are still rising, he told a media conference, accompanied by AICC general secretary RS Surjewala.
When the crude oil price was between $65 and $ 75 a barrel, the benefit of the lower price did not reach the consumers. Though the current crude oil price is under $ 100 per barrel, the Centre has raised petrol and diesel prices four times in recent days. As a result, the price hike has hit consumers, farmers, and the common people hard, the CM said.

Ever since Modi became the PM, he made it a habit to continuously raise petrol and diesel prices. This time, for a fourth time, in a way the country has never seen before. It has become an almost daily affair, Siddaramaiah said.
Life has become unbearable for the common people and the middle class. People are reeling from the price hikes. The BJP promised good times if it came to power but has ended up hoodwinking people.
In the last 11 days, petrol, diesel, and gas prices have been raised four times. In Bengaluru, petrol price has reached Rs 110.93. Diesel is Rs 98.89 rupees. Petrol and diesel prices have increased by Rs 7.52.
