Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Bhopal on June 27 and address 10 lakh booth workers virtually, a senior party leader said on Wednesday. He will also flag off the Jabalpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express train later.

Modi's visit to Bhopal ahead of the assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh will boost the morale and confidence of the BJP workers in the state, party's state unit president VD Sharma said.

The BJP's state unit has also requested PM Modi for a road show in Bhopal, Sharma said.

Modi is also likely to visit Dhar on the same day and attend a programme on Sickle cell anaemia, a disease mostly said to be found in tribals, which are in sizable numbers in Madhya Pradesh.

The central Indian state is due for elections later this year, where the BJP is seeking a fifth term, and has been witnessing a lot of political activities for the last several days.
