PM Modi in Assam on two-day trip

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived on a two-day visit to Assam.

Modi arrived in Guwahati on Saturday and participated in BJP's state core committee. The Core committee will discuss the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. BJP together with allies is targeting to win 12 out of the 14 parliamentary seats.

Modi was received by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, state ministers and senior civil and police officers.


Modi will address a public meeting at 11.30am on Sunday at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara, from where many state and central projects will be unveiled.
