PM Modi did in 3 years what India couldn't in 70: Amit Shah

NEW DELHI: Hailing the achievements of NDA government on its third anniversary, BJP chief Amit Shah has claimed that the "decisive" regime has put an end to policy paralysis, appeasement politics and nepotism while giving an impetus to the growth of weaker sections.

In a media interaction held to mark the three-year anniversary of NDA government, Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most popular leader in the country since Independence.

He dismissed allegations that the government had not kept its promise of generating enough jobs, and was targeting opposition leaders through raids and searches. "I believe that in these three years, several milestones have been crossed by the BJP-led government and the self-confidence of the people has gone up.

The Prime Minister and the government have succeeded in upping the scale of country's thinking, transformed politics by removing malignancies of appeasement politics, nepotism and corruption. Some things, which had not been achieved in 70 years have been done in these three years," Shah said. He emphasised that the NDA government is just and transparent.

He said even its opponents cannot level any allegations of corruption against it.

Shah enumerated giving constitutional status to OBC commission, surgical strike, one rank-one pension to retired defence personnel, demonetisation, Goods and Services Tax, move for electoral reforms, and strengthening the economy as some of the achievements of the NDA dispensation. The BJP chief said the slogan of NDA government is "Saath Hai, Vishwas hai…. Ho raha vikas hai".

This regime stands for the welfare of the Dalits, tribals, backwards, poor, women and the youth, he added.
