PM Modi congratulates Amarinder Singh

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated Amarinder Singh on taking over as Punjab Chief Minister and wished him the best in working for the state's development.

"Congratulations @capt_amarinder on taking oath as CM. Wishing you the very best in working for Punjabs development," Modi tweeted.

The tweet came soon after Amarinder, who led Congress to a resounding victory in the Assembly polls, was sworn in as the Chief Minister.
