PM Modi concerned over passport delivery, delay in infrastructure projects
Reviewing the infrastructure projects, Modi expressed dismay at the delay in vital infrastructure projects due to repeated litigation.

Modi was taking stock of projects in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The review was a part of Modi’s fourth interaction through PRAGATI— the ICT-based, multi-modal platform for pro-active governance and timely implementation.
"The Prime Minister asked departments concerned to proactively pursue these matters judicially, and highlight the difficulties faced by the people due to the non-completion of these projects," the PMO said. Modi, however, complimented several states for their effort to speed up execution of infrastructure projects. The prime minister also expressed concern at the grievances relating to delivery of passports.
The PMO statement noted that Modi directed the ministries of external affairs and home to hold a joint workshop to examine ways and means to reduce time in various clearances, to enable quicker processing of passports.
