An informal PM Manmohan Singh stayed back in the House when it was adjourned for over 10 minutes and mingled with MPs, Opposition leaders and his own Cabinet colleagues.

NEW DELHI: The first day of the monsoon session had an unusual sight in the Rajya Sabha. An informal PM Manmohan Singh stayed back in the House when it was adjourned for over 10 minutes and mingled with MPs, Opposition leaders and his own Cabinet colleagues.

Chairman Hamid Ansari adjourned the House till 12 noon. The PM stood up, but then decided to stay back. Finding him there, some of party MPs walked up to greet him.

Soon, power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was seen having an animated discussion with him. Even the leader of opposition Arun Jaitley walked up him, shook hands but it lasted barely a few seconds. Then, walked in industrialist Vijay Mallya and CPM’s Sitaram Yechury from the other side.
