PM chairs meeting to review security

PM Manmohan Singh chaired a high-level meeting to assess the security scenario in the aftermath of Hyderabad twin blasts that left 42 dead.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday night chaired a high-level meeting to assess the security scenario in the aftermath of last night's twin blasts in Hyderabad that left 42 dead.

The meeting was attended by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who briefed the Prime Minister about his visit to the Andhra Pradesh capital earlier in the day, media advisor to the Prime Minister Sanjaya Baru said.

The meeting was also attended by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan, Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta, Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar and Director of the Intelligence Bureau P C Haldar.
