PM, Brunei Sultan hold talks

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'Lzzaddin Waddaulah today held talks on wide range of issues and agreed to enhance ties, particularly in the economic field.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'Lzzaddin Waddaulah today held talks on wide range of issues and agreed to enhance ties, particularly in the economic field.

The two leaders held discussions on a range of topics including Information and Communication Technology, Trade and Economic Cooperation and Cooperation in the spheres of culture, arts, mass media and sports.

Sultan of Brunei also met President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Defence Minister A K Antony, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed.

Patil hosted a banquet in the honour of the visiting dignitary.
