Plane tyre bursts in Hyderabad-Chennai fight, narrow escape for 81 passengers

CHENNAI: Passengers on-board a Hyderabad-Chennai fight today escaped unhurt when the plane suffered a rear tyre burst during landing here, but was stopped safely on the runway, airport officials said.

The Spicejet fight, which landed at 10.45 am, had 81 passengers besides 5 crew members, they said, adding that all of them were deplaned and the aircraft was hauled away to the parking bay.
