Plane carrying PM Modi makes history, lands on Highway in Assam | Northeast Infra growth story

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Northeast’s first Emergency Landing Facility at Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh, Assam. He arrived in an Indian Air Force C-130J aircraft and witnessed a 40-minute aerial display featuring Sukhoi Su-30MKI, Rafale and Tejas fighter jets. Built at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore, the dual-use runway can handle fighter and transport aircraft and will serve as an alternate landing strip during emergencies, strengthening India’s defense readiness and disaster response in the Northeast.
