PK Dhumal's son alleges Virbhadra Singh has not disclosed rental income in affidavit
SHIMLA: Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister P K Dhumal's son Arun Dhumal today alleged that Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his family had rented out their ancestral house " Holley Lodge" to a firm working in Miyar Hydro electric project and had not disclosed the income in their affidavits filed before the Election Commission.

"The lease deed was signed by Pratibha Singh, wife of Virbhadra Singh with the company working at Miyar hydro Project to rent out Holley Lodge," Arun told mediapersons here.

"The agreement Pratibha Singh and Aman Morya, representative of Delhi based-Subinay engineering and construction private limited was signed on December 30, 2011 for renting out the Holy lodge to the firm for two year term and there were no witness to the deed," Arun alleged.

The rental was Rs 12-lakh per annum for next year while it was Rs 13.20 lakh, for the second year, payable in monthly instalment of Rs 1.10 lakh, he alleged and accused Singh and his wife of concealing the rental income in their affidavits filed before the election commission.

However, Vikramaditya Singh, President, Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress in a statement dubbed the allegations of Arun as baseless and malicious, made out of sheer frustration due to ongoing inquiries into various cases of corruption against his family members.

"Arun Dhumal was in a state of desperation with disclosure of various anomalies and misdeeds of HPCA by the senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Sunday," Singh said adding "that HPCA tried its best to grab the valuable properties of the state in name of cricket academies."
