Drone-like flying object spotted near Delhi airport

NEW DELHI: About 15 flights were diverted and several delayed as operations at Delhi airport were suspended for thirty minutes today evening.

The operations were suspended after a pilot saw a drone flying in the vicinity of the airport.

"The ATC immediately suspended operations after the pilot informed the ATC about the drone. The operations were suspended at 1930 hours and were resumed at 2000 hours," said an airport source.


During the suspension period, flights were diverted to Jaipur. The operations were resumed after the CISF and the Delhi police cleared it.
