PIL for cancellation of land for Noida IT park: High Court seeks reply
ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad High Court today asked the Noida authority to file its reply on a PIL demanding cancellation of allotment of 20,000 sq m of land to a real estate company for developing an IT Park.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice P K S Baghel passed the order on the PIL of N S Kharayat, a retired CBI officer who sought cancellation of the allotment of the land in favour of Grandslam Developers Pvt Ltd.

The petitioner had alleged that although allotment was made specifically for the IT Park, the land was being used for other purposes.

He had also prayed that a direction be issued by the court to ensure that the land was used only for IT and IT-enabled services.

The court has fixed January 17 as the next date of hearing in the matter.
