NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Ranchi on Thursday said the government has been rapidly working to fulfil the promises made to the country and the first 100 days are just a trailer.

“During the election campaign, I had promised to give you a kaamdar and dumdaar government. A government that will work faster than ever to work for your aspirations,” said Modi. “The country has seen the trailer in last 100 days. The film is yet to come.”

Modi was in Ranchi to inaugurate new assembly building of Jharkhand. The three-story new building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 465 crore and it is dubbed as the first paperless assembly in the country. He also launched pension schemes for farmers and small traders.

For tribal students, he laid the foundation stones for 462 Eklavya model schools across the country, of which 69, will be established in 13 of Jharkhand’s 24 districts. While speaking after the inauguration, without naming any leader, the PM targeted the opposition, especially Congress for corruption and loss to the public money.

“Our commitment is to take those who have plundered people’s money to the right places (jail) . Some have been sent already. Some people always considered that they are above law of the country. Now they are running for bail,” Modi said.
