PI Industries Q4 net profit up 23%

PI Industries today reported 23% increase in standalone net profit to Rs 82.45 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, on account of increase in income.

NEW DELHI: Farm input company, PI Industries Ltd today reported 23 per cent increase in standalone net profit to Rs 82.45 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, on account of increase in income.

It had posted net profit of Rs 66.90 crore in the same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

Increase in the net profit is due to rise in income of the company for the fourth quarter of 2012-13 fiscal to Rs 1,144 crore, from Rs 1,018 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

For the entire 2012-13 fiscal, the company's net profit increased to Rs 290.66 crore, from Rs 231.29 crore in 2011-12.

Total income of the company last fiscal increased to Rs 4,018.42 crore, from Rs 3,041.92 crore in 2011-12.

Board of the company has recommended a dividend of 100 per cent of Re 1 per equity share.
