NEW DELHI: Terming the price hike of petrol, diesel and cooking gas as a "Tsunami" for the common man, opposition BJP in Delhi on Wednesday said that there would be spiral effect on the prices of other commodities by this decision.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi alleged that "under the dream team of economist ministers of the country inflation rate is bound to touch two digit figures".
The BJP leader said that it is the highest increase in the history of independent India.
In another statement, BJP's national secretary Vijay Goel also condemned the latest hike and said that the UPA government has lost the right to rule.
