Pandharpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said his government has given the go-ahead to the Solapur district administration for the Pandharpur corridor plan, work on which will begin in three months.

The process of land acquisition will begin and affected persons will get good compensation, the CM told reporters here.

The Pandharpur corridor plan includes convenience facilities for devotees, development of the temple and its premises, ghat construction, darshan queue and disaster management as well as preservation and conservation of infrastructure works at Vitthal-Rukmini temple and premises.


The CM said he had inspected the restoration work of the renowned Vitthal-Rukmini Temple here and was satisfied at the progress. "Majority of the restoration work will be completed before Ashadi Ekadashi," he said.
