People will not tolerate use of force by TMC: Buddha
West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said on Sunday that people will not tolerate use of force by Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists on the common people.
Bhattacharjee was addressing a Left Front rally at Tamluk after attending a meeting with the senior district officials at Kolaghat in East Midnapore.
The CM also came down heavily on the TMC for opposing the government's move to set up industrial units in Haldia and other parts of West Bengal and held TMC responsible for creating trouble in Haldia.
"A lot of proposals are coming to our government for setting up industrial units in Haldia and several other places. But I am not sure about their fate as the TMC is opposing any move for industrialisation," he added
Bhattacharjee was peeved with the TMC as he was shown black flags by the party supporters at several places on his way from Kolaghat to Tamluk
"TMC activists had attacked 178 buses which were carrying our supporters from various places to Tamluk. About 70 buses were prevented from entering Tamluk," the CM alleged
He criticised the TMC for displaying muscle power and for not holding talks with his government on development issues and said people of West Bengal will not tolerate this. At the same time, Buddha said, "People should not to accept TMC sponsored terrorism.
Fisheries minister Kiranmoy Nanda, who had demanded early assembly polls, and health minister Surjya Kanta Mishra also attended the front rally at Tamluk along with the CM.
