Bihar: Amit Shah hails Modi govt's nine years, says committed to making farmers financially empowered
Union home minister Amit Shah said at a public rally in Lakhisarai in Bihar on Thursday that last week's meeting of opposition parties in Patna was a "photo session" of corrupt parties and that the proposed anti-BJP alliance will have little impact on the 2024 general election.

"We saw a photo session of anti-BJP parties in Patna a few days ago. I was surprised. Nitish Kumar said that 15 opposition parties gathered in Patna. But these were the parties who have allegations of corruption worth ₹20 lakh crore between 2004 and 2014," Shah said.

Shah said the people of Bihar will never side with the corrupt and that the BJP will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats of the state.

Slamming Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Shah said a person who only wants to remain in power and can compromise with any principle and ideology cannot be trusted. He said Kumar wants to remain the CM of Bihar and that he is befooling RJD leader Lalu Prasad.

Shah also attacked Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, "In BJP, it is the people who launch a leader. Congress is a strange party. For the past 20 years, it has been trying to launch Rahul Gandhi but it fails every single time. This time in Patna too, Congress has made another unsuccessful attempt to launch Rahul Gandhi. But the people of Bihar have made a decision that they want PM Modi once again, not failed leader Rahul Gandhi."

Shah is touring several states to participate in programmes celebrating nine years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre. On Friday he will address similar public meetings in Udaipur in Rajasthan.
