People can teach the govt a lesson: Anna Hazare

Social activist Anna Hazare today said people hold the key to teach the government a lesson and stressed that they needed to understand its importance.

Addressing a public gathering in Rajasthan's Govindgarh town today, Hazare expressed concerns over the problems faced by the farmers in the country, and hit out at the Centre and state government over the issue.

"People have a key and it is important to understand its importance. The key is capable enough to overthrow any government or organisation and to teach a lesson," he said


In Jaipur, Hazare said he had been travelling across the country to interact with farmers, raise awareness among them about their rights and take their feedback to lodge a protest.

Asked about Lokpal, he said former prime minister Manmohan Singh had weakened the Lokpal when he was in power and then the Narendra Modi government weakened it further.

Hazare said it had become important to tell people about it.
