BADAUN(UP): Criticising the Food Security Bill, Samajawadi Party today said people are being fooled as there is nothing special in the legislation.

"There is nothing special in the bill and people are being fooled," SP national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav told reporters here.

He was here to take part in laptop distribution ceremony. The SP leader said that he will bring amendment to the Bill in the Rajya Sabha.

Yadav said that he had talked to a number of economists and they are also of the view that "after the Bill, fiscal deficit will increase by 0.2 per cent and a situation will be created in which even government employees would not get salary".

He said that though the government was giving foodgrains, it was not giving pulses or sugar.

The SP leader said that future trading should stop and as was resulting in price rise.

He said that the total business of country's biggest market Azadpur was Rs 500 crore per day, but a future trader does business of Rs 5,000 in a day that too only on papers.
