PDP using ill-gotten money to buy public support: Omar Abdullah
"PDP received huge sums from its mentors to buy support of people in the Lok Sabha elections and the party is planning to apply same tactics in the assembly elections."

Addressing a convention of party workers in Budgam district of central Kashmir, Abdullah expressed apprehensions that PDP might use the same tactics in the upcoming Assembly elections to tilt the balance in its favour.
"PDP received huge sums from its mentors to buy support of people in the Lok Sabha elections and the party is planning to apply same tactics in the assembly elections," he alleged.
"Admitting corruption stigmatised persons and elements with highest charges of malpractices and misappropriation in the party-fold and giving them mandates is clear indication of PDP's plan to utilise the ill-gotten money to tilt elections in its favour," he said.
Omar, who is also the working president of National Conference, appealed to people to stand for "truthfulness, honesty and sincerity" represented by National Conference.
"You should girdle the loins and launch door to door campaign to counter the false propaganda of the opponents aimed at defaming the government and the NC by circulating falsehood and misgivings," he told party workers.
