PDP condemns attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur
2 BSF jawans and a militant were killed while 8 others injured when militants attacked a convoy of the BSF on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Udhampur today.

"Violence in any form would not solve any problem. We are deeply shocked over the incident," PDP general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir said here.
"Such incidents are designed to vitiate the atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in the state and all the political parties should come forward to bring the state in line with peace where dialogue is fundamental," he said.
Two BSF jawans and a militant were killed while eight others injured when militants attacked a convoy of the BSF on Jammu-Srinagar highway near Samroli in Udhampur district early this morning.
The attack, which comes days after terror struck Dinanagar of Punjab, is the first in the district in over a decade.
Mir said it is ironical to see that on such condemnable incidents certain parties follow the practice of "political opportunism".
"Having no stakes in peace, it only reflects their greed for power," Mir said.
Congress has attacked the PDP-BJP government over the attack. NC leader and ex-J and K CM Omar Abdullah said Kashmir's condition was already in a bad shape, and now this new militancy has started.
