Meghalaya Chief minister Conrad K Sangma recently announced that ruling alliance partner PDF will merge with his NPP.
Guwahati: People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has decided to merge with the National People’s Party (NPP) in Meghalaya.

The PDF will finally merge with the NPP at a programme to be held on Saturday. PDF’s General Conference on Friday unanimously endorsed the proposed merger of the party with the NPP.

PDF president, Gavin Miguel Mylliem informed that the formal signing of the merger document will be held on Saturday. PDF has two MLAs while NPP had won 26 seats in the recently concluded elections.
