PC Mohan demands Kumaraswamy to involve MPs and MLAs in review meetings

Member of Parliament from Bangalore Central constituency, P C Mohan has requested Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy requesting not to confine review meetings related to Bengaluru infrastructure projects only for officials. “Involve MPs and MLAs too,” the MP has said.

In a letter addressing the CM, the MP while appreciating the CM for his initiatives to take stock of pending infrastructure projects in the city, has also expressed his disappointment that the state government was not inviting MPs and MLAs to the meeting with Officials to review/discuss status and progress of pending infrastructure projects in the city.

“MPs and MLAs are on the ground and face the wrath and answerable to the people about pendency/progress of these projects besides progress of other development work . Therefore, it is imperative that elected representatives are involved in such review meeting with officials,” he has said.


Further, he has said that even though review of important projects like the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR), SubUrban Railways, Elevated Roads are needed, there are also multiple other projects which are pending and need immediate attention of the government.

“During the marathon meeting held by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Dr Parameshwara on June 18th, 2018 several issues were discussed and the Dy Chief Minister promised to undertake work on war-footing and make Bengaluru plastic free, protect the lakes, ensure roads are pot-hole etc. However, till date, there is no update on the progress of the issues discussed in the meeting,” he has said in the letter.
