Pawan Kalyan slams Centre's demonetisation move
HYDERABAD: Jana Sena Party founder and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan today hit out at the Centre for demonetising Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, saying it should have done serious exercise before announcing the decision.

"It is evident from the current situation that government has not done enough exercise..The government should have done some serious exercise before delegalising the tender," Kalyan said in a series of tweets.

"Government has to spell out the actual new currency position. Rural economy and unorganised urban market is to be taken care. Senior citizens are to be taken care & Government should take measures to stop unrest in public," he said.

He said government can not hide long time under the shade of maintaining secrecy...and has no proper estimation before announcing the delegalisation of currency.

Kalyan, who launched Jana Sena on the eve of 2014 elections, did not jump into the electoral arena but lent support to the TDP-BJP combine and aided in its victory in Andhra Pradesh.

On November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the decision to demonetise Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 currency notes.
