MUMBAI: A Pawan Hans helicopter crashed in Bombay High while carrying out night landing practice in an oil rig. Two pilots have been reported missing.
The incident has led to a full scale search and rescue operation by the Indian navy.

Two minor war vessels are already looking for survivors. Last heard, one of the doors of the helicopter was sighted in the sea.

The incident happened at 7:25 pm.

Earlier this year, in June, a Dornier aircraft CG-791, of the Coast Guard went missing off the Tamil Nadu coast. The debris was located 32 days later. In March, another Dornier aircraft belonging to the Navy sank into the Arabian Sea off the Goa coast while on routing training. Two crew members were killed in the incident.
