Patil assures to take decision on Octroi abolition
The "complexities" involved in abolition of Octroi was the reason behind delay in a decision on the issue, Maharashtra Assembly was informed on Monday.

MUMBAI: The "complexities" involved in abolition of Octroi was the reason behind delay in a decision on the issue; Maharashtra Assembly was informed on Monday.
"The state government is studying the report of a committee on Octroi and its complexities, including the fallout on revenue collection of civic bodies, which caused a delay in arriving at a decision", Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil said during Question Hour.
Patil, however, said the government would soon decide on the matter of Octroi abolition, after going into relevant issues.
