Patidars must follow legal route: Amit Shah
GANDHINAGAR: Speaking for the first time on Patidar agitation, BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday said the inclusion of any community into OBC category is a legal process and the community needs to apply to the relevant commission.

Pointing out that the Gujarat government has been open about the constitutional way of moving ahead with the demand, Shah said everyone should follow the prescribed legal procedure on this issue. Shah addressed the youth of the state through a video conference to reach out to them ahead of the assembly election later this year.

The event went live across 250 locations in the state and more than four lakh questions were asked through telephone, WhatsApp and other social media platforms. The event was called Adikham Gujarat (Resolute Gujarat) and Shah rattled out a range of statistics comparing pre-1995 Gujarat with that of 2017.
