Guwahati: Asserting that the government will deal with those taking law in their hands, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said no one has complained to him about the posters of the film Pathaan being torn.

When asked about the incident, he said, “No police complaint is filed, no hall owner called me to complain. However, those who break law or take law in their hand we will deal with them.”

He said, “Who is Shahrukh Khan? I don’t know anything about him or his film Pathaan. I do not have time for all this.”

A group of people in Narengi in Guwahati on Friday where the film is slated to be screened tore posters and threatened dire consequences if the film is screened.

Sarma said, “Khan has not called me, though many from Bollywood do so, regarding the problem. But if he does, I will look into the matter. The people of the state should be concerned about Assamese and not Hindi films.Assamese film Dr Bezbarua – Part 2 will be released soon. People should see it.
